Part C is referred to as Medicare Advantage or MA or MAPD, it is what most Insurance Agents train to sell (not all agents can sell MA or MAPD plans). If you are thinking about covering the 20% co-insurance, 15% surcharge, and the deductibles associated with Original medicare, then the Part C is for you.
So what happens when you get Part C, you will have to sign up with a company, also referred as a “Network”, sounds ominous, but it is not. The network is comprised of the Doctors, Specialist, and extra benefit providers that you will receive when signing up for a Part C. Extra benefits consist of benefits that come with the plan, some benefits that you would think should be already be added to Original Medicare, are available through Part C, for example vision and hearing, other benefits offered are transportation, travel insurance, over the counter medications, acupuncture, chiropractor, respite, medical alert, nutrition education, home meals, 24 hour Dr or Nurse hotline, and gym to name a few.
Not all plans offer the same benefits, and some plans are made to fit a special need, with that said, it is our passion to read up on all the latest material to help you navigate the ampil world of Medicare, so as to anything related to Medicare, seek out the council of well trained professionals, speak to you local agent, or send us a message at admin@plan4life.org, we will be happy to assist you.
